Membership

Being a member of the Delray Beach Police Benevolent Association is a privilege, and all members are expected to be respectful of the facility, contribute to the DBPBA and DBPBA-sponsored events, and follow all rules, regulations, by-laws, and decisions of the Directors of the DBPBA. Membership Types

There are two membership types at DBPBA. Please be familiar with the requirements of each in order to keep your membership status.

Active Member:

Active members must attend at least five (5) meetings in a year. This entitles them to vote on decisions presented by DBPBA leadership, sponsor new members, as well as access the facility, indoor range, and all member events.

Associate Member:

Associate members are only required to pay their yearly dues. However, Associate members may not vote, nor may they sponsor new members. However, they may access the facility, indoor range, and member events.

Benefits

Helping your community, both local and in the tri-county area, is one of the best benefits of being a member of the Delray Beach Police Benevolent Association. There are a few other benefits, however, that are worth mentioning:

Conference Center/Hall Use

Members may use the Conference Center/Hall for a reduced fee. 

Indoor Range Use

The indoor range is only available for members of the DBPBA. No exceptions. For rules, regulations, and other information, please go to the Indoor Range page.

Access to learning workshops, seminars, and more…

Learning workshops, various seminars, barbecues, and other events are held regularly for members only. 

Membership Payment

Current members can pay yearly membership dues using the payment buttons below. Please choose your membership type carefully. Please note that there is a small additional charge for processing membership dues by this method. 

Alternatively, you may pay your yearly membership dues by check at a DBPBA members meeting.

Active Membership Dues ($180)
Associate Membership Dues ($360)

Becoming a member

If you are not a current member, the process of becoming a member is rigorous and intended to ensure the integrity of the DBPBA family.

 If you’re interested in becoming a member of our organization, you’ll need to follow these steps carefully:

  • Be sponsored by an Active Member of the DBPBA. The sponsor must be an Active Member of the DBPBA for at least one (1) year. 
  • Fill out the membership application completely, including photograph.
  • Submit this application for review by DBPBA leadership.
  • Pending a successful application, they will submit themselves for review, questions, and interview at a DBPBA Members’ Meeting, where they will be presented to the rest of the DBPBA membership for scrutiny.
